Mrs. Malvina M. Coté©, 94, also of Seymour, died Monday October 20, 2008 at Griffin Hospital. She was the wife of the late George W. Coté©.

Mrs. Coté© was born May 16, 1914 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Louis E. and Albertine (Poulin) Bourget. She has resided in Seymour for 41 years. She and her husband founded the Shady Knoll Private Hospital in 1947 and operated the facility until her retirement in 1980. She was a retired registered nurse having been active in the health care field for over 34 years.

Mrs. Coté© was a retired member of the American College of Nursing Home Administrators, a member of the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities and the Derby Historical Society. She received certificates of Administration from Northeastern University, Boston, and the WARTON School of Business Administration, PA., the Health Care Facilities of CT and the American College of Administration for nursing home personnel. Mrs. Coté© was a member of St. Augustine's Parish, was member of the Catholic Daughters of America, The League of the Sacred Heart and the Connecticut Private Hospital Association. She enjoyed restoring figurines.

She leaves a son George W. Coté© and his wife Mary Ann Ditter Coté© of Southbury, a sister Emma Robillard of Putnam, Ct, a granddaughter Kristina Coté© Folan of Norfolk, MA, a grandson William Coté© of Bethlehem, two great granddaughters, Kayla and Ariana, one great grandson, Dennis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
