Lucie Walsh Ringel, 87, formerly of Trumbull, CT and Boca Raton, FL, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Danbury Hospital following a brief illness. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Lynda Bowes and Richard Reminih of Florida and Fred and Ellen Marcantonio of Bethlehem, CT. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Leon H. Ringel and her daughter, L. Suzanne Reid. Lucie is also survived by her brothers, William Walsh of Trumbull and Joseph Walsh of Florida; grandchildren Kimberly Torla and Kevin Bowes of Florida, Christopher Reid of Virginia, William Reid of North Carolina, Lori McKulsky of Waterbury, Frederick Marcantonio of Stratford and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lucie earned a nursing degree at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, CT and was a nurse for 40 years, both in the Bridgeport area and in Florida. She avidly enjoyed sports such as tennis, swimming and bicycling and remained active for most of her adult life.
Following the death of her husband in Florida, Lucie relocated back to her beloved roots in Connecticut, residing at Kennsington Green in Southbury and, most recently, Ashlar of Newtown. Lucie had a special zest for life and a deep and abiding love for her family.
