Louise W. King, accomplished artist, writer, animal lover, philanthropist and longtime patron of the arts, died suddenly in Danbury on Oct. 9. She was 79. Known for her keen intelligence, whimsical clay horses and furtive-but-boundless generosity, Louise lived in Washington, Conn., since 1976. A native New Yorker, she was a supporter of artists and musicians, animal welfare and many she knew - and some she didn't. Louise's love of animals was equaled only by affection for their 'esteemed owners'
