Obituary

Louis Bolice Fudale, of Southbury, CT, husband of Eileen (Clarke)(Volpe) Fudale, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 24.  He was born the son of a coal miner November 19, 1932, in Maynard, Ohio, son of the late Bolice Fudale and Josephine (Skovron) Fudale.  Louis was a graduate of  St Clairsville High School, he worked on the railroad as a young man and then served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict before moving to Greenwich, Connecticut where he married his first wife and mother of his children Alice Fudale (Kolok).

Louis and his brother Thomas owned and operated a well-respected painting contractor business in the Town of Greenwich for over 40 years. He also was an artist in his own right, he loved to draw ink character portraits, refinish antique furniture and play the drums in his family polka band and on the local radio station. In the 1970's Louis coached and managed the "State Liners Drum and Bugle Corp" to a Connecticut State Championship.  He also coached pop warner football for his boys.

Louis will be terribly missed by his family, extended family and friends. He is survived by his children, Louis Fudale Jr (Wendy), Bonnie Siclari (John), Candace Sayour (John), Mark Fudale (Barbara) and Tim Fudale; his stepsons Rick Volpe, Donald Volpe (Julie), and Brian Volpe (Louisa), grandchildren, Christopher Siclari (Sandra), Alisha (Siclari) Russo (Mark), Chynna Fudale, John N. Sayour, Kevin Sayour, TJ Fudale, Ryan Fudale, Leigha Fudale, Ashlynne Fudale; step-grandchildren Kyle Volpe (Matt), Kendal (Volpe) Bortles (Jon), Michael Volpe (Willa), Cole Volpe, Tim (Volpe) Sileo, Angel Baby Brian Volpe, Gavin Volpe and Devon (Fudale) Givens, great-grandchildren, Zachary, Haylee, Liam Russo, Miles, Luke Siclari; and step-great grandchild, Bearett Bortles. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Fudale and wife Patricia, his sister Jo Ellen Martin.  Louis was predeceased by his sister MaryAnn Gray, and brothers in law Robert Gray, Wayne Martin and Gerald Clarke, sister in law Rosemarie Clarke and step daughter in law Karen Volpe.

Visitation will be held at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 2 School St, Woodbury CT, on Friday, November 29 between the hours of 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 30 at 11AM at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St S, Southbury, CT.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Judes Childrens Hospital.  To leave a condolence of the family, please visit www.munsonloveterefuneralhome.com
