WOODBURY- Mrs. Lorraine R. (Hug) Foster, 72, of 250 White Deer Rocks Rd., died Monday August 14, 2006 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife Joseph A. Foster and the late Edward James Richardson, Jr.

Mrs. Foster was born February 1, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY daughter of the late Arthur and Edna Hug. She worked in accounting in her husband Joseph's accounting firm. She was a volunteer for Baby Love, making baby blankets for premature babies; she was a volunteer at Southbury Training School Thrift Shop, and volunteered at St. Teresa's Church in many capacities. Mrs. Foster was a member of the Woodbury Women's Club and member of the Woodbury Senior Center.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Edward Richardson of St. James, NY and Gary Richardson of Woodbury, CT and a daughter Colleen Ferreira of Terryville, CT and four grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Church, Woodbury. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery, Farmingdale Long Island, NY. Friends may call the funeral home Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to St. Teresa's Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 5001, Woodbury, CT 06798. The Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, Main St. South is in charge of arrangements.
