Obituary

Woodbury, CT – Lori Lee Wilson Nuzzi Burnham, 64, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on May 14, 2025. Born on May 1, 1961, in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Joan Wilson. A graduate of Lenape High School, Class of 1979, Lori began her career early on, her favorite job was for Nine West as District Manager. Lori is survived by her devoted husband of 19 years, Jonathan Burnham; her daughter, Ashley Nuzzi Gendelman, of Philadelphia, PA; her step-son, Jonathan R. Burnham, of Silverthorn, CO; her step-daughter, Elizabeth Burnham Copeland, of Wausaukee, WI; her brother, Jeff Wilson, of Delaware; her sister and best friend, Cyndi Hart, affectionately known as "Sweetie," of Mantua, NJ; and her dear aunt and uncle, Janet and Jack Morrissey, of Merchantville, NJ. In 1998, Lori met and began life with Jon Burnham. They married in 2006 and lived in Moorestown, NJ. With her daughter Ashley and Jon's children, Jonny and Liz, Lori completed the household. Lori loved flower gardening, especially her star gazer lilies, a gift from her grandfather, Poppy. Lori was very artistic, often involving everyone in playful art projects like painting Christmas ornaments. She always made birthdays and holidays special for everyone. An adventurous spirit, Lori loved exploring the outdoors, frequently hiking, and enjoying nature. She was a stylish dresser and loved to dance. Dancing at the Coastline in Cherry Hill on many occasions. In 2012, Lori suffered a stroke. Though debilitating, she remained pleasant, sweet, and kind. Lori never complained. In 2021, Lori moved to Jon's home town of Woodbury. Though she had limited speech, Lori often said "I'm happy" even in her last year of life. Those who love her can feel grateful thanks for those words. She also really liked to have a beer and a lime.

Lori's sweetness and positive attitude will be missed and never forgotten. As Lori used to say "Really?!" Yes!!
