Lorenza Bravo, 94, passed away peacefully on January 13th at Regional Hospice in Danbury. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on December 11th, 1921 she was the widow of William Bravo who died in 1995. She was a graduate of Seton Hill College in western Pennsylvania and was a life-long teacher spending the majority of her career as a Spanish teacher at Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park, Long Island. She and her husband raised three children at their home in Valley Stream, Long Island where they lived for over forty years. She was an avid gardner, a gourmet cook, and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband. After he passed away Lorenza moved to Heritage Village in Southbury and eventually moved to the Watermark Assisted Living Facility.
She is survived by her son William R. Bravo and his wife Patricia A. Fascio, her daughter Lorraine E. Bravo, her daughter Olga R. Bravo and her spouse Rebecca Wagner, grandsons William Bravo and Michael Bravo, granddaughters Ronnie Y. Bobbitt and Michele Moore, and great grandchildren Carlos A. Bravo, Stephanie N. Bravo, Isabella Y. Bobbitt, Sophia N. Bobbitt, and Isaac L. Moore.

Funeral: Sacred Heart Church
Services: A reception with the family will be held Monday January 18th from 9: 00 AM to 11: 00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street S, Southbury, CT and will be followed by a funeral mass at 11: 00 AM at the same location. Interment will be at Calverton National Cemetery in Riverhead, Long Island.
