Lois Specland Raphael, 81, of Heritage Village, Southbury, died Tuesday, July 15 at Danbury Hospital. She was the widow of Arnold R.N. Raphael. Mrs. Raphael was born December 8, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Robert and Bea (Miller) Specland. Mrs. Raphael lived in Europe and Asia most of her adult life and with her husband retired to Heritage Village in 1986. She was active in the local community, especially in Heritage Village. She is survived by two sons, Glenn D. Raphael of New York City and Richard R. Raphael and his wife Charlene of Oakton, VA and 2 granddaughters, Megan and Rachel. She was pre-deceased by her brother Rick Specland.
