Obituary

Loah Nan Stevens, 81, of 173 Richardson Drive, died Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Waterbury Extended Care Facility in Watertown.

Miss Stevens was born August 4, 1925 in Canton CT, daughter of Charles Loyal and Loah (Allen) Stevens.

She was a graduate of Crosby High School and the University of Connecticut and held a nursing degree from Waterbury Hospital. She succeeded her brother, Burton Ives Stevens, as the owner and president of the F & S Oil Company in Waterbury. She was the past Grand Chaplain of the Connecticut Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Past Matron of the Pomperaug Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and she was a Daughter of the American Revolution.

She leaves an adopted sister, Arlene Nearing of Watertown, as well as several nieces and nephews.
