LLOYD STETSON


SOUTHBURY- Lloyd Stetson, 84, of Southbury, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at Pomperaug Woods Health Center. He was the husband of the late Zilla (Dougherty) Stetson.

Mr. Stetson was born May 15, 1927 in Augusta, Maine, son of the late Lawrence and Marjorie (Frost) Stetson. He has resided in Southbury for over 22 years, previously living in Tarrytown, NY. Mr. Stetson was Director of Buildings Grounds and Transportation in Westchester County, New York. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Southbury, member of the Garden Club, Bowling Club and a board member of Condo #16 and a US Navy veteran of WW II.

He leaves a son John Stetson of Fairfield, a daughter Carol Forth of Redding, a sister Ruth Elliott of Greenwood, MS, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Monday at 3 p.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.

Visitation: Friends may call the funeral home on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
