LLOYD H. CASTEEL


OAKVILLE- Lloyd H. Casteel, 88, of Oakville and formerly of Queens Village, NY, died Sunday April 17, 2011 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Agnes T. Casteel.

Mr. Casteel was born June 30, 1922 in Tarrant City, Alabama, son of the late Lloyd H. Casteel. He has resided in Queens Village for most of his life prior to moving to Oakville. He retired from the French American Bank in New York City having worked as a bank auditor for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing.

He leaves a son Thomas J. Casteel of Waterbury, CT and two daughters, Patricia Mulcahy of Oakville and Mary Levis of Chatham, NJ. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister Myrtice Falkenstein.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa's Church, Main St. South, Woodbury. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
