LeRoy Beavers, 84, of Southbury, Formally of Shelton of Shelton, CT, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2016, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Born in Tennessee in 1931 to the late Edward and Rose Beavers, he was the younger of two sons. He is predeceased by his brother Earl.
LeRoy proudly served in the Korean War with the Army Corp of Engineers, being awarded a purple heart during his service to his country.
Upon returning from service, LeRoy built a successful business in rigging and machinery transportation. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a proud member of the Fairfield County Sherriff's Department.
LeRoy was a gourmet cook and antique car enthusiast. He devoted his life to supporting and caring for his family, and was especially devoted to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dolores, and by his children Roy Beavers and his wife Debbie of Southington and Patricia James of Ridgefield. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Zachary James and Caitlin Corbett, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services: Services will be held on Friday April 8, 2016 at 9: 00 AM. At Munson Lovetere Funeral Home in Southbury, CT Military honors will follow the service. Burial will be at the Gates of Heaven in Hawthorne NY.

Visitation: Calling hours will be held at the Southbury Funeral home on Thursday April 7, 2016 from 5: 00-8: 00 PM
