Leonard Alan Pilch, 65, of Waterbury died peacefully on Friday, September 21, 2007 at his home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends.
Mr. Pilch was born July 16, 1942 in Danbury. He was the son of Laurence E. Pilch of Southbury and the late Elsie (Keeler) Pilch. Prior to his retirement, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in Heritage Village. He served in the Army and was stationed in Texas and Japan. His favorite things in life were collecting antiques, going to flea markets and spending time with family and friends.
Besides his father, he leaves two brothers, Ronald Pilch of Woodbury and Wayne Pilch of Tucson, Arizona; two sisters, Susan Pilch of Woodbury and Betty Pilch of Hamden; three nieces, one nephew and six grand-nieces. He also leaves his best friend of over 30 years, Eugene Wisniewski of Watertown, many treasured friends who brought him great comfort in his last months and his beloved pets, Oliver and Truman.
Memorials: He has requested that friends who wish to do so make a contribution to a charity of their choice.
