Obituary

Mr. Leo A. Scott, 101, died Friday May 14, 2010 at Pomperaug Woods Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Ramona (Hawkinson) Scott. Mr. Scott was born in Lock Springs, Mo. on January 4, 1909 son of the late Jesse and Cloe (Jarrett) Scott.
He was a Graduate of the University of Missouri where he received his AB and BS in Chemical Engineering; all while working to put him self thru college, playing basketball, football, and polo.
He started working at Colgate Palmolive in 1931 on a trial basis for $75.00 a month. He retired 41 years later as the Vice President of Manufacturing.
He is survived by a brother Vincent L. Scott and his wife Rebecca of Freeport, TX, 3 children, Sara Jo Marble and her husband James of Dover, MA, Jarrett W. Scott and his wife Ann of Eastham, MA and Katherine E. Scott of Berwyn, PA, 5 grandchildren John T. Scott and wife Adrienne of Davis, Ca., Peter J. Scott and wife Sara of Canton, CT, Jeffrey S. Marble and wife Abby of Medfield, Ma., William E. Marble and wife Anelise Horah of Northborough, Ma., Elizabeth K. Marble of Medfield, Ma., and 8 great grandchildren Caitlin and Alexander Scott of Davis, Ca., Nathan and Eric Scott of Canton, Ct., Samuel and Emily Marble of Medfield, Ma., Harrison and Lucas Marble of Northborough, Ma.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pomperaug Woods Endowment Fund, 80 Heritage Rd., Southbury 06488 or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Funeral: Church Not Applicable

Services: Burial services will be held in the New North Cemetery, Woodbury.
