SOUTHBURY - Leo J. McCoy Jr., 59, passed away peacefully at Bristol Hospital on Friday, May 8, 2015 with his loving mother by his side. Leo was born on April 3, 1956 in Danbury Hospital.

At 8 years old, Leo and his family moved to Southbury for the convenience of a day program at Southbury Training School. In the years following, Leo and his brother William McCoy resided in their home across the street from the school.

Leo is survived by his mother, Esther McCoy; father, Leo McCoy Sr., deceased in 2004; brother William McCoy; and many close friends. Leo enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to classic country music, swimming, afternoon coffee breaks with his dad, trips to the Elephant's Trunk and evenings with his 'Mum'. Leo's loved ones will miss him dearly and cherish all of the memories made over the years.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home in Southbury, CT, 235 Main St. No. in Southbury. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in Southbury, CT with a reception to follow at Wooster Cemetery in Danbury.
