Obituary

Lea D. Seabury, 87, of Oxford, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Beacon Brook Health Center in Naugatuck. Lea was born November 10, 1927 in Oxford, daughter of the late Paul and Dora Douillet. A lifelong Oxford resident, she was a retired kindergarten para-professional at the Quaker Farms School and a volunteer in the Art classroom at the school after her retirement. Lea was involved in the Oxford Little League and Oxford Cub Scouts, a lifelong communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and a member of the Oxford Garden Club. Lea was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Seabury, her sister, June Allen and her brothers, Albert Douillet and Raymond Douillet. She is survived by her children, Ellen S. Fritz and her husband William of Oxford, Wayne Seabury and his wife Robin, of Goose Creek, SC, David Seabury and his wife Joan, of Morris, and Warren Seabury and his wife Connie, of Torrington; 10 grandchildren, Kristina Wambolt of Medfield, MA, Kevin Seabury of Paxton, MA, Michael Fritz of West Hartford, Meagan Wenger of East Windsor, NJ, Rebekah Seabury of Milwaukee, WI, Jennifer Shepard of Mount Holly, NJ, Cara Radzins of Southington, Kaitlyn Seabury of New York, NY, Abbey Seabury of Providence, RI and Brianna Nordone of Barkhamsted; 7 great grandchildren, Ava Shepard, Michael Joseph Fritz, Jr., William Shepard, LeaAnne Wambolt, Lillian Fritz, Wyatt Wambolt and Patrick Seabury.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 515, Oxford, 06478 or to the Oxford Center Volunteer Fire Co. No.1, 484 Oxford Road, Oxford, 06478 or to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 421 Oxford Road, Oxford, 06478.

Funeral: St. Peter's Episcopal Church

Services: A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11: 15 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 421 Oxford Road, Oxford. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, Oxford.

Visitation: Calling hours will be held Saturday morning, May 9 from 9 to 10: 30 a.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North.
