Mr. Lawrence F. Shea, 69, of Bethlehem passed away suddenly on Tuesday March 8th, 2011. Larry was born August 25, 1941 in Dorchester, MA, but grew up in Waterbury. He was the son of the late Francis (Bert) and Emileen (Doran) Shea of Waterbury. He was a graduate of Croft High School and served as a medic in the National Guard during the Vietnam War. He also owned Spudnuts. Larry was a well known builder of all his adult life and owned LFS Construction.
In his free time, Larry was an avid skier, hiker, and mountain biker. He also had a passion for traveling and working with the love of his life Carol. Larry also loved watching the NY Giants.
He is survived by his loving partner, Carol Mulready of Bethlehem, his daughters, Rebecca Shea of Bethlehem and Lauren Shea Rohwer of Albuquerque, NM. He also leaves behind his former wife, Marilynn Shea of Bethlehem, his godmother, Marguerite (Atkinson) Shea, wife of the late Dr. Lawrence J. Shea of Waterbury; Carol's children, Serena Lillie and her husband Brendan of Ashland, MA, Britt Mulready and Keegan Mulready both of Bethlehem and many other wonderful relatives and friends.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Larry's favorite charitable organizations, the Goodspeed Opera House 6 Main St. East Haddam, CT 06423-1302, the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr. Wallingford, Ct 06492, the American Cancer Society PO Box 1004 Meriden, Ct 06450 and the White Memorial Conservation Center, 80 Whitehall Road Litchfield, CT 06759.

Location: Munson-Lovetere Woodbury
Funeral: St. Teresa's Church
Services: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday March 14th at 11am at St. Teresa's Church, Woodbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Sunday March 13th from 4 - 8pm at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St.
