''Larry'' Cale
May 4, 1945 – December 20, 2012
Lawrence B. Cale, known as Larry to all his friends, died unexpectedly on Dec. 19 at age 67. He was born in Montreal, Canada on May 4, 1945 and held dual citizenship until he chose United States citizenship at age 21. He was a 1963 graduate of Woodbury High School and was a Woodbury resident since the age of 5. Larry was a graduate of Charter Oak College, having also attended Clemson University, and spent the majority of his career as an employee of the Department of Defense where he was a quality assurance supervisor. He had many interests including hunting and fishing and was a life member of the NRA. Larry excelled at bridge where he was a bronze life master and teacher, both in Litchfield and at the Woodbury Senior Center. Larry was a man of his word and would go out of his way to help those he could in any way possible. He was predeceased by his parents Norman and Anne Cale and leaves no immediate family.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry's memory to the Friends of the Woodbury Library, 269 Main Street South, Woodbury CT, in care of Judith Henderson.
Cemetery: Cemetery Not Applicable
Location: Munson-Lovetere Woodbury
Services: There will be a memorial service at 10 am on Sat. Dec. 29 at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School Street. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation: Friends may gather at the funeral home from 9-10 a.m. before the service if they wish.
