Laura Rae LaLiberte died unexpectedly December 22 at her home in Torrington CT. Born May 5, 1963 in Merced, California, she was 52 years old.

Laurie graduated from Shepaug Valley High School, where she excelled academically and athletically, and attended Northeastern University, majoring in Physical Therapy. Throughout her life, she worked in medical positions and marketing. She loved her family and was caring toward people anywhere who needed help. Laurie was an avid reader and loved to walk. Her special love was for her birds and the outside critters she fed and cared for every day as she loved all things nature.

Laurie is survived by her fiance Gary Lucia of Torrington, CT; her mother, Trisha Parrish of Boise ID; her father, Ray Funk of Woodbury CT; her sons Andrew Gereg of Helena MT; and Bryce Laliberte of Woodbury CT; her grandson Jameson Gereg of Helena; her sister, Shana Tubach of Boise ID; her sister Cassondra Funk of Boston, Ma; and Bob Laliberte of Waterbury, CT

Those who knew Laurie knew of her struggles which ultimately overcame her. We are saddened beyond belief that she is no longer with us, but we know she is suffering no more. We remember the good times, and miss her terribly.
