Obituary

Laurie Ann (Chormanski) Bimmler, 74 of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, February 25th, 2014 at VITAS Hospice after a brief illness. She was married to the late Emil A. Bimmler for over 26 years. Born December 12th, 1939 in Bridgeport, CT. Laurie was the daughter of the late Paul and Victoria Chormanski. She grew up in Pennsylvania, Bridgeport and Waterbury, CT. She attended Harding High School. Laurie has worked as a legal secretary, secretary at Curtis Packaging, medical receptionist at Southford Medical Center, at the Harrison Inn of Southbury, D.M. Read's, St. Joseph's Manor and more recently as a Nanny and pet care giver for the Young family of Roxbury and Washington for many years. Laurie was a kind and giving person who loved her family, children and grandchildren very much. She loved spending time with her children outdoors camping and hiking. Laurie was an avid reader and enjoyed painting, gardening, embroidery and dancing. She attended the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Later in life Laurie enjoyed traveling with her friend Richard Palushock of Arizona. She leaves her daughter, Lynn (Bimmler) Baker and son-in-law William Baker of Bethlehem, Her son Emil Bimmler and daughter-in-law Carla Salvatore-Bimmler of Naugatuck, CT/Jupiter, FL; her daughter Sandra Taylor of Houston, TX; and her son Eric Bimmler and daughter-in-law Cynthia Bimmler of Whitingham, VT; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Nathaniel Coe and his girlfriend Katie Bristol, Jessie Coe and her finance Harry Fulton, Kendra Baker, Lauren Bimmler, Deanna Cashiola and her husband Eric, Bret Aaronson and Maya and Aiden Bimmler; two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and William Cashiola; her brother's and their wives, Paul and Sharon Chormanski, and Michael and Donna Chormanski, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother David Chormanski.

Funeral: Church of the Nativity

Services: Mass will be held Saturday, March 1st at 10: 00am, at the Church of Nativity, Bethlehem. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Guernseytown Road in Watertown to follow.
