Obituary


Laurette Jean (Theriault) Judson, 93, of Woodbury, peacefully passed into the arms of her loving Savior Jesus, on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital, in Waterbury after several recent strokes. She was the wife of the late Franklin H. Judson. Mrs. Judson was born April 5, 1918 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Leon and Louise Theriault; she was the last surviving child of nine. She loved to sing hymns, songs from the past and play the piano. A faithful wife and mother, she selflessly cared for her husband, five children, grandchildren and many others. She leaves her son, Frank R. Judson; her daughters, Nanette and her husband C. Charles Scherer, and Bonnie Rose, all of Woodbury; Gail Manning of Vermont and Tammy Terrell of Northfield. She was affectionately known as Nana to 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and her extended family. She lovingly opened her heart to many others who also referred to her as "Mom" and "Nana". Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to establish a fund to help defray the cost of a memorial stone for Laurette's resting place.

Cemetery: New North Cemetery

Location: Munson-Lovetere Woodbury

Services: Services will be held Saturday, October 29 at 2 p.m. at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St. Burial will be in New North cemetery, Woodbury.

Visitation: Calling hours Friday, October 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 29, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
