Mr. Kenneth J. Rose, 83, of Heritage Village died Saturday November 28, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He was the husband of Eleanor Rose.
Mr. Rose was born December 5, 1925 in New York City a son of the late Joseph A. and Loretta (Byrnes) Rose. He was a veteran of the US Army having served during WWII. Formerly of Woodbury, Mr. Rose was a member of the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. He was also a member of the Valley Chordsman Barbershop for 30 years. After moving to Heritage Village, he became active on the Heritage Village Ambulance Association, MRT and acted as a personal driver for many taking them to and from the airports. He also worked at the Southbury Training School for 25 years.
In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by two daughters, Denise Rose and Cynthia Gaertner and two grandchildren.

Funeral: St. Teresa's Church
Services: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday December 3rd at 11: 00am at St. Teresa's Church, Woodbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Visitation: Friends may call at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St., on Thursday from 9: 00am until the time of service.
