Mr. Kenneth A. Rivers, 84, of Heritage Village died Thursday August 23, 2012 at The Hearth in Southbury. He was the husband of Mary (Kinney) Rivers.
Mr. Rivers was born May 26, 1928 in Potsdam, New York the son of the late Alfred and Ethel Jones Rivers. He was a long time member of the First Congregational Church in Washington and the Washington Volunteer Fire Department. His hobbies included bocce ball, bowling and playing horseshoes.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Thomas A. Rivers and his partner Henrietta Ball of Torrington, David K. Rivers of California and Stephen J. Rivers and his wife Meg of Litchfield, 2 daughters, Robin Rivers of Morris and Holly Rivers and her partner Butch Tompkins of Morris, a step son, Gary Molenaor and his wife Burta of Winsted, a step daughter, Lynn Bennett of Winsted, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a step son, Steven Molenaor.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 15th at 11am at First Congregational Church in Washington. Burial is at the convenience of the family.
