Ken Balanda, 39, died at his home on Friday April 5, 2019. He was the son of the late Francis X. Balanda and Joyce (Johnson) Balanda of Southbury and the brother of Kate Balanda of Southbury.

Ken was born on Feb 12, 1980 in Waterbury, CT. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School & Keene State College, Keene, New Hampshire. He was a bright, outgoing, handsome man with a passion for fitness. He had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was contagious. Ken was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching his favorite teams; the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He enjoyed warm weather, Florida and playing golf.

In addition to his father he was pre-deceased by his Aunt and Uncle Janice (Johnson) and Robert Swoditch. He is survived by several cousins.

Ken struggled and fought hard. He is at peace now and in a happier place. He will be missed.
