Obituary

Kelly Lynn Gayowski, 51, of Oxford, CT passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her own home on September 3, 2026.

Born on September 11, 1974 in Danbury, CT, Kelly was the youngest out of three daughters from Linda L. Stanley, and Peter M. Gayowski. She attended Shepaug Valley High School, in Washington, CT and later pursued some college studies.

In life, Kelly wore many hats. Growing up in Roxbury, later moving to Middletown, CT, Kelly then began working in the restaurant industry, before taking some time to work in a group home, where her caring nature shined bright. Later, she took great pride in helping her father with his tax firm as a secretary. But Kelly’s favorite role in life was being a mother in her own way. Even while facing illness, Kelly made it a priority to let people know just how much they meant to her. Her heart was big enough to make countless people feel like family as she had a way of loving people that made them feel seen, accepted, and cared for.

Kelly loved being surrounded by love and laughter. Some of her happiest moments were spent at Sylvan Lake with Jasmine and friends, soaking up the sun or cheering on Brenden at one of his games, where you could always hear her voice from the stands. She enjoyed the company of those she loved and simply being present in the moment. She treasured the little things - the laughter, the people, the love she had to give and most importantly, *the memories she has left behind.

Kelly was preceded in death by both her *paternal and maternal grandparents*, as well as her favorite Aunt, Betty Stanley, and her cherished pet best friend, Woody. Above of all, she leaves behind her most beloved treasures, her children. She is survived by her parents Linda Stanley and Peter Gayowski, son Brenden P. Gayowski, and expecting wife Maria R. Gayowski and baby; and her daughter Jasmine S. James and fiance Matthew. J Yoelson. She is also survived by her two sisters and their families, Dawn Siana, and Ginny Barsi, who will forever carry her memory and the love she had.

Her greatest legacy will not be measured by the years she lived, but by the love she gave. She will be remembered as a mother whose love reached far beyond her own children. Though her time with us was far too short, the love Kelly gave will continue through her children, her family, and every person fortunate enough to have called her Mom. She was deeply loved, will be missed profoundly and never forgotten.
