Katherine R. McDonald, 95, died peacefully on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at Pomperaug Woods in Southbury. She was a longtime resident of Heritage Village before coming to Pomperaug Woods which she truly enjoyed being at. She was the wife of the late Philip McDonald for 45 years. She leaves behind her 4 children of whom she was very proud. Michael McDonald & his wife Marjorie, Robert McDonald & his wife Barbara, Dennis McDonald & his wife Janet and her daughter Kathleen Murphy & her husband Sean of Woodbury along with 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Katherine was an RN of which she was very proud. Her grand-daughter Kara Murphy followed in her footsteps because of her. She loved music & dancing and loved to laugh.
She will be truly missed by all that knew her. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Pomperaug Woods and their hospice team for all their support, kindness and quality care.

Funeral: Sacred Heart Church

Services: A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on May 26, 2015 at 10: 00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Southbury, of which she was a long time member. Burial will follow at St Mary's Cemetery in Hamden where she will join her dance partner, Philip in heaven. Dance on Mom!
