Katherine May, 94, of Lighthouse Road, died Tuesday September 13, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred G. May. Mrs. May was born May 31, 1917 in Waterbury daughter of the late Harry Albert and Katherine Ann (Maloney) Norton. She was raised in Waterbury before moving to Woodbury in 1941. She was a member of St Teresa's Church and its woman's group, and was on the Democratic Town Committee. Mrs. May had worked for many years at the Deschino's clothing store, and had done catering in town.
She is survived by a son William May and his wife Terri of Woodbury, 2 daughters Karen Knox of Woodbury, Cheryl May of Las Vegas, 3 grandchildren, Sarah Lovell and her husband Christopher, Jennie Higgins and her husband Stephen, John Glennon and his wife Jovan, 4 great grandchildren, Andrew & Evan Lovell, Caroline and John Higgins.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St Teresa's Building Fund, POB 5001 or to the Woodbury Volunteer Ambulance Association, POB 581 Woodbury CT 06798.

Services: A memorial mass will be held Saturday September 24, 2011 at 10 am at the Church of the Nativity, 48 East Street Bethlehem. Burial will be held in the New North Cemetery, Woodbury.
