Julianna "Julie"
E. (Lang) Crawford
July 28, 1952 – July 19, 2024
Julianna (Julie) Elizabeth Crawford
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Julianna (Julie) Crawford announce her passing on July 19, 2024 after a sudden and unexpected medical emergency. She passed peacefully with family by her side.
Julie was born on July 28, 1952 in Freeport, N.Y., the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Elizabeth (Mays) Lang.
Julie's family moved to Woodbury in 1967 where she continued to call home for the past 57 years. She graduated Woodbury High School in 1970.
She met the love of her life, Walter (Ted) Crawford in high school and they married on June 3, 1972. Ted and Julie enjoyed many happy years together riding motorcycles, fishing, camping, boating, water skiing, kayaking, playing golf, vacationing in St Thomas, and rescuing numerous pets. When Ted's health declined she continued to care for him with love and patience until his passing in February.
After High School she attended Post University. Julie spent most of her career as a Real Estate Agent where she earned numerous awards for outstanding sales and top listing agent.
Julie loved being a resident of Woodbury and had a large circle of friends who were beloved by her. She enjoyed summers at the Lake Quassapaug Outing Club where she kayaked and loved soaking up the sun as well as chatting with friends.
She was very active and rarely ever missed her 2 daily walks with her dog and friends.
Besides enjoying the outdoors, her many friends and dog, Julie loved her family. She cherished time with her son, Ted (Teddy), daughter in law, Nancy, and grandchildren Emily and Sean whom she adored. Her presence will be deeply missed by family and friends.
She leaves behind her son Ted (Teddy), daughter- in-law Nancy, grandchildren Emily and Sean Crawford, brother Gary Lang and wife Kathy, Brother in law Gene Crawford and wife Marianne, and numerous cousins.
The family would like to thank Julie's Doctors, and nurses at St. Mary's Hospital. We are grateful for your outstanding care and compassion.
