Obituary

Mrs. Julia Constance (Skripkunis) Cole, 88, of 201 White Deer Rocks Road, died Saturday December 9, 2006 at her home. She was the wife of the late Ralph E. Cole, whom she married April 14, 1945.

Mrs. Cole was born April 5, 1918 in West Exeter, PA, daughter of the late Martin and Catherine (Tomasunas) Skripkunis. She has resided in Woodbury since 1945. She worked as a housewife and mother and business partner with her late husband. She was a communicant of 61 years at St. Teresa's Church in Woodbury, having been member of its woman's guild and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Cole enjoyed cooking, entertaining, gardening, handcrafts, reading and corresponding with her friends. She also enjoyed traveling to reunions of the 7th Field Artillery Division and 601st Tank Destroyer Battalion.

Known for her sense of humor and affectionate nature, she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She leaves a son Edwin Cole and his partner Gaston Barreat of Woodbury, with whom she made her home, daughters Kathleen Cole and her partner Caroline Hotchkiss of Littleton, MA, Jane Cole Moran and her husband Jerry and their children Michelle, Meaghan, and Conor of Oakdale, CT, Susan Cole Domanico and her husband Jerry and their children Robyn, Rachel and Alexander of North Granby, CT, numerous nieces and nephews.

Cemetery: New North Cemetery

Location: Munson-Lovetere Woodbury

Services: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa's Church, Main St. South Woodbury. Friends are asked to go directly to church for Mass. Burial will be in New North Cemetery

Visitation: Friends may call the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St. on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
