Julia (Judy) Norton Davey, 94, died peacefully in her home on March 2, 2017, surrounded by family after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer. Judy had been a resident of Southbury, Connecticut since 1996.  She was born in Waukegan, Illinois on October 31, 1922, to the late Philip Augustus Andrews and Jessie McKean Andrews, both of Nashua, New Hampshire.  Judy was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Harry E. Davey and her sister, Katharine W. Moyer, also of Southbury.  She is survived by her son, Philip N. Davey and wife Charlie W. Davey, of Norfolk, VA; daughter Claudia Davey (and husband Kenneth Bentubo), of Stoneham, MA, and Julia Linn Davey (and friend Jean Schipper) of Tuckahoe, NY.  She was the proud and loving grandmother of Jessica McK. Davey (and husband Gemunu Amarasinghe) of Bangkok, Thailand; T. Bradbury Davey of Wilmington, DE; Andrew J. Zirolnik (and wife Deanna) of Tuckahoe, NY; and Timothy M. Zirolnik of New York City, as well as three great-grandchildren, Charlotte R. Davey, Edmund W. Davey and Marco J. Zirolnik.  Also left to cherish her memory is her sister Jean A. Gregory of Rockville, MD, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  Judy was raised in New Rochelle, NY where she graduated from The Ursuline School, Class of '40, and lived in Lima, Peru, from 1947-1958, before returning to Scarsdale, NY, where her three children attended Edgemont Schools.  During World War II she was employed at the British Purchasing Commission in New York City; after following her husband's work in Peru and New York she was a homemaker.  As a child she was a camper at Wavus Camps in Damariscotta, ME, from 1932-39, and was proud to play a part in seeing the camp revived beginning in 1992.  She has been a long-time member of the United Church of Christ, Southbury and formerly Greenville Reform Church, Scarsdale, and has pursued her interests in genealogy and painting, and was a member of the Southbury Garden Club, Heritage Village Genealogy Club, and Brush & Pencil Club, and formerly of the Westchester Genealogical Society.

Burial at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua, NH, will be private, followed by a Memorial Service at the United Church of Christ, Southbury, on Saturday, March 11th at 11:00 A.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Kieve-Wavus Education, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center or a charity of the donor's choice would be sincerely appreciated.
