IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Judith
Krulak
September 15, 1938 – May 15, 2016
Judith Yesinowski Krulak, 77, died peacefully at home in Woodbury on Sunday, May 15, 2016.
Judy, a lifelong Connecticut resident, was born September 15, 1938 in Norwich, daughter of the late Frank and Estelle (Jodoin) Yesinowski. She had been married to the late Vincent C. Krulak.
A keyboard student from age 8, Judy attended the Hartt College of Music and Annhurst College before receiving her B.A. from Western Connecticut State University. She taught piano and choral music, and later served as principal and substitute organist at Catholic, Episcopal, Congregational, and Methodist churches throughout Litchfield and New Haven counties. Most recently, she was the organist at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Oxford, working with the choirs, soloists, and instrumentalists.
Judy also founded and operated the Village Tailor Shop in Woodbury for over 20 years.
Ever the adventurer, Judy really hit her stride in her 50s, taking cruises or traveling overseas, riding her scooter to church, and trying out hot air ballooning, jet skiing, parasailing, and dog sledding, among other activities. She loved to garden and spend time outdoors, and she played Scrabble, Rummikub, and card games to win.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and a giving friend. Her plucky attitude and unflagging spirit inspired all who knew her. She is deeply missed.
Judy is survived by a daughter, Debbie Shail of Seymour and her husband, Ed; a son, Keith A. Krulak of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren, Sam, Evan, and Eliana; and her beloved poodle, Maggie.
Judith Krulak, daughter of the late Frank and Estelle (Jodoin) Yesinowski of Jewett City, died peacefully at home in Woodbury on Sunday, May 15 at age 77.
