Obituary

Judith Ann (DeBisschop) Thibeault, 61, of Windsor, died peacefully with her family by her side on June 20, 2012 at Kimberly Hall South in Windsor. She and her husband, Paul Thibeault, were happily married for 39 years. Judy was born July 15, 1950 in Derby, daughter of the late Charles and Marian Treat DeBisschop. The town of Oxford, CT served as an integral component of Judy's life. Growing up there, she participated in 4-H and was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Connecticut in 1972. She worked as a medical technologist for 30 years at St. Francis Hospital and 8 years at Hartford Hospital. Judy was a dedicated fan of the UCONN Women's Basketball team, attending 11 of the last 12 NCAA Women's Final Four Championship games. Judy spent many years supporting her sons in sporting activities and continued to be a strong supporter of youth sports thereafter. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Jeffrey and his wife Melissa of Branford, Brian and his wife Anne of Hebron and Michael and his wife Stefanie of Windsor; two brothers, Robert DeBisschop and his wife Dottie of Oxford and Howard DeBisschop and his wife Penny of Bristol, RI; two sisters, Marilyn Serus and Joanne Halstead, both of Oxford. She was also the loving grandmother of Andrew and Elizabeth, cherishing every opportunity to play, explore and enjoy life with them. Judy's family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care and support given to Judy and them by the staff at Kimberly Hall South, the St. Francis Hospital Oncology Ward and by Dr. Lynn Davis and staff at the Infusion Center.
