It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joseph Michael Valente of Oakville, CT. Joe passed away at his home on March 3rd 2025. He was one of a kind and one of the sweetest souls anyone could ever meet. His large sense of humor, uniqueness and unwavering generosity will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Joe was born on August 8th 1966 to the late Joseph Jr. and Lillian (Caron) Valente in Waterbury. He attended Nonnewaug High School, Rodger Williams University and Post University where he studied Architecture and Business. In his younger years he was a Boy Scout in Bethlehem, a talented artist and most recently an Electronic Data Interchange Analyst at Linde Gas Company in Danbury and a licensed real estate agent for Weichert Realtors-Briotti Group in Waterbury. He enjoyed music, art, movies, reading, graphic design, computers, tennis and racquetball, rollerblading, and board games. He loved animals, holidays spent with his family and friends, traveling; especially to San Francisco and Boston, Snoopy, a good glass of wine and anything "kooky" and tie-dyed. He especially cherished his 1967 Camaro SS.

Besides his parents he was met by his grandparents: Joseph Sr. and Julia Valente and Joseph and Eva Caron. Those left to miss him include his siblings: Gina Valente of Plymouth and Peter (Suzie) Valente of Bethlehem, niece Jordan (Eric) Nelson of Torrington, nephews: Jay Soares and Dante Valente of Plymouth and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers.
