Joseph Daniel Rourk, Age 99, died March 23, 2016 peacefully at his home in New Preston, CT.
He was born the son of Clare and Joseph Rourk on October 27, 1916 at Rockville Center Hospital, Long Island, New York. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Margaret (Smith) Rourk, his sister Eileen Liese from Texas and his 6 children, Patricia, Brian, Sean, Regina, Brendan and Sheila along with 13 grandchildren.
He graduated from the University of Detroit, received his Masters and began his career as a Research Chemist for U.S. Rubber, Uniroyal and U.S. Steel.
He was an avid Hiker, Skier, and tennis player. He lived an amazing, long and healthy life and will be fondly remembered.
