Joseph Anthony
Iorio, Jr.
Mar 2, 1950 — Sep 14, 2026
Southbury
Joseph Anthony Iorio Jr., beloved husband, passed away on September 14, 2026. He placed his wedding band on his wife Beverly finger and quietly left this world. Born March 2, 1950, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the son of the late Alice and Joseph Iorio. Joe attended local schools.
As the proprietor, with his father, of the Homer Street Garage in Waterbury, Joe spent decades serving his community, earning the trust and respect of countless customers. Alongside his father, they campaigned a sprint car with the United Racing Club. Together they spent time traveling the circuit and many of his fondest memories are of this time. When we think of the finish line of the Flemington Speedway, we will know that Joe is there, smiling.
Joe shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Beverly Iorio, who stood by his side through all of life’s ups and downs. Together, they created a loving home filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories.
Although Joe faced his health challenges with remarkable strength, it was his gentle spirit, humorous anecdotes, and kindness that left a lasting impression on those around him. As he departs this earthly realm, we remember him for the love he shared and the lives he influenced.
Per Joe’s request all services will be private. He is forever in our hearts and will be missed but never forgotten.
