Joseph Gazy, 90, of 391 Chestnut Tree Hill Road, died peacefully Thursday, September 9, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of the late Louise Gazy. Joe was born December 23, 1919 in Oxford, son of the late Andrew Joseph and Anna Lucas Gazy. A life-time farmer, he owned the Gazy Brothers Farm in Oxford and later helped his sons run the business. He worked for a short time at Sikorsky Aircraft and also served as the Oxford Dog Warden for over 15 years. He is survived by three sons, Edward Gazy, Peter Gazy and Anthony Gazy; four grandchildren, Dominic, Roseanne, Nicholas and Albert. He was pre-deceased by a grandson, Luis. Prior to his passing, Joe was lovingly cared for at home by his family and friends with the help of VITAS Innovative Hospice Care.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Joe's family asks that memorial contributions be made to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care 1579 Straits Turnpike Unit C Middlebury, CT 06762 or to the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home P.O. Box 491 Woodbury, 06798 to help defray the funeral expenses.

Services: Funeral services will be held Monday at 2: 00 p.m. at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North. Burial will be in the Southford Cemetery in Oxford.
Visitation: Calling hours Monday from Noon until the time of the service at the Funeral Home.
