Obituary

Joseph B. Eisenberg, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and respected business leader, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was a man of immense character, warmth, and generosity-a presence truly larger than life.

Joseph served as Senior Vice President at Crompton, where he built a distinguished career marked by leadership, integrity, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Joseph was deeply engaged in his community. He served as a member at large with both the Pomperaug Watershed Coalition and SCORE, where he dedicated his time and experience to preserving the environment and mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs.

Above all, Joseph's life was centered on his family.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Gertrude Bogin Eisenberg, of Brooklyn, NY and his sister, Mona Eisenberg Turka, and her husband, Murray Turka, of Mahwah, New Jersey and Hilton Head, SC.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia Famiglietti Eisenberg and a devoted father to his daughters, Stacey Payne and Elizabeth Schlicher. He took great pride in his sons-in-law, David Payne and Nathaniel Schlicher, and found immense joy and pride in his seven grandchildren: Joseph Mathes, Carter, and Ava Grace Payne, and Mia, Gloria, Juliet, and Anna Schlicher.

Joseph's legacy lives on in the lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and generosity of spirit. His enduring love for his family, commitment to service, and strength of character will be remembered always.
