Joseph G. DeBiase, 71, beloved husband of Emma (Horton) DeBiase passed away at Danbury Hospital on December 1, 2008 surrounded by his family, after a year long battle with cancer. Mr. De Biase was born on January 2, 1937 at the Waterbury Hospital son of the late Joseph and Mary De Biase. He graduated from Woodbury Schools, and worked at the Fabric Firehose in Sandy Hook, Connecticut Tubing in Woodbury and retired from the Newtown School District. He was a lifelong member of the Bethlehem Fair Society, and a long time member of the Waterbury Elk's Lodge.
Besides his wife he is survived by 11 children, Donna Collins and her husband Mark of Vian, OK, Michael J. DeBiase of Danbury, Lisa Ridgeway and her husband Robbie of Vian, OK, Forrest N. Horton and his wife Pat of Danbury, Leon F. Horton of Naugatuck, Marie J. Horton of Danbury, Bradley M. Horton of New Milford, Tina L. Yaunsem and her husband David of Washington Depot, Priscilla A. Veneziano and her husband Rich of Danbury, Laura J. Laughlin and her husband Jerry of Ft. Myers, Fl, Susan A. Britton and her husband Bobby of Danbury, and a sister Linda Cole and her husband Art of Woodbury, 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother George DeBiase, his sister Grace Cole, and his son Timothy J. Horton.

Cemetery: Bethlehem Cemetery
Location: Munson-Lovetere Woodbury
Services: A funeral service will be held Thursday December 4, 2008 at 11 am at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation: Friends may call the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School Street on Wednesday December 3 from 4 to 8 pm.
