JOSEPH DONALD DAVIS

SOUTHBURY- Joseph 'Don' Davis, 80, of Southbury, died peacefully Saturday December 22, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Mary (Kane) Davis.
Mr. Davis was born March 15, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY son of the late Walter Joseph and Nora (Kearny) Davis. He has resided in Southbury for three years, previously residing in Yorktown, NY and Newton, New Jersey for many years. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1954. He was a draftsman / engineer for the Jersey Central Power and Light Company. Mr. Davis was always proud of his family and was an avid New York Giants and Army football fan.
In addition to his wife of fifty-seven years, he leaves a son Mark Davis and his wife Deborah of Southbury, a daughter Maureen Davis and Joseph Parente of New York, NY, two granddaughters, Jennifer Brocksmith and her husband Douglas of Middlebury, CT, Lisa Melnik and Scott Pearson of Mohegan Lake, NY, two grandsons Michael Davis and Stephen Davis of Southbury, and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Andrew Brocksmith. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Stephen Davis, in 1965.
Interment will take place in New Jersey in the spring.
