Jordan C. Ekberg, 11, of Brown Brook Road died unexpectedly Friday August 22, 2008 in his home. Jordan was born October 22, 1996 in Waterbury son of Bret and Holly Bucciarelli, and step mother Michelle Williams, all of Southbury. He graduated Gainfield Elementary School this June and was to start Rochambeau Middle School in the fall. Jordan loved swimming, fishing, cooking, riding dirt bikes and bicycles.
Besides his parents he is survived by a brother Zach Bucciarelli, a sister Kathren Ekberg, and step brother Cory Eckes all of Southbury. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother Barbara (Mango) (Bucciarelli) Ekberg and her husband Bob Bowolick of Southbury, uncles Harold Ekberg and his wife Donna, John Bucciarelli and his wife Sharon, Paul and Mark Bucciarelli, aunts Irene Ekberg, Dawn Bucciarelli, Mary Monagan and her husband Ben, his maternal grandparents Edwin and Lorraine Taranovich, aunts Tammie Taranovich, Tracey Keiser and her husband Todd, Keri Rich and her husband Jason, Uncle Daniel Taranovich and his wife Kristine. He is also survived by his birth mother Kristen Ekberg of Waterbury and many cousins.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Southbury, C/O Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North Southbury Ct 06488. The wish of his family is to establish a fund in Jordan's name that will serve to assist children from the town of Southbury who cannot afford to attend Park & Recreation summer Programs.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 26, at 1 PM at the United Church of Christ, 283 Main Street North in Southbury.
