Obituary

John V Wicelinski, of Southbury, passed away peacefully at Griffin Hospital on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. A lifelong resident of Connecticut, he was born in Derby, and was the loving eldest

son of the late Adam and Helen Wicelinski. John was a dedicated communicant of St. Joseph's Church of Ansonia, including several years of esteemed service to their musical program.

A humble man who left an indelible mark on many, John was a fervent caregiver throughout the course of his life. He volunteered in numerable hours with community outreach programs, such as local food banks and fostered many remarkable connections with his community through these outlets. Since his college days, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus: most recently Council 5066 in Southbury.

John was fond of classical music, was a big Snoopy fan and was known to be an avid collector as well. He attended Pomperaug High School. A graduate of Fairfield University (B.A.) and Sacred Heart University (MBA), John worked as a draftsman and computer programmer during his career.

He is survived by his brothers, Raymond and Chet of Atlanta, GA, and Steven (Carol) of Southbury; and nieces Amber (Andy) of Foxborough, MA, and Amanda of Las Vegas, NV.
