Mr. John G. Skidmore, 99, of 80 Heritage Road, Southbury, formerly of Heritage Village, died Saturday September 8, at the Pomperaug Woods Health Care Center in Southbury. He was the widower of Isabel (Thacker) Skidmore.
Mr. Skidmore was born November 24, 1907 in Diamond Bluff, Wisconsin son of the late John Upham and Anna (Larson) Skidmore. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in 1930. A mechanical engineering consultant for building construction, Mr. Skidmore was a member of A.S.H.A.R.E., the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Triangle Fraternity.
He is survived by his daughter Mary Wademan of New York, his son Geoffrey Skidmore of California, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild
