Sears, John A. Jr.
John A Sears Jr. of Oxford CT. died peacefully on the morning of June 27, 2013 at the Brandywine Senior living facility at Litchfield, he was 94. Born in Ansonia CT on January 1, 1919, the son of John and Anna May Sears, he served his full tour of duty in the United States Army during World War II from 1941 to 1945, achieving the rank of sergeant, during which he was awarded five battle stars, the bronze star, the good conduct medal and the marksmanship ribbon. After the war, Mr. Sears worked and retired from the Kerite Company of Seymour CT.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Emily, his brother Raymond and his sisters Lillian and Helen. He is also survived by his beloved children June, Diana, John, Daniel, Kimberly, Theresa, Laura and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Linda and a son Louis. He is also predeceased by his brothers Howard, George, Roger, and sister Eleanor.

Cemetery: Pine Hill Cemetery
Location: Munson-Lovetere Southbury
Services: Funeral service will be on July 2, at 11: 00am at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home and proceeding to the Pine Hill cemetery for military honors.
Visitation: Friends are invited to attend the wake Monday, July 1, 2013 from 5: 00 to 8: 00pm at the Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North, Southbury .
