- John Pellegrini, 88, of Southbury went home to the Lord on Monday, March 5th at the Lutheran Home of Southbury where he was surrounded by his family and lovingly cared for by the amazing LHS staff for the past 3 years. He was the husband of the late Mary (Roklan) Pellegrini. John and Mary were married for 65 years.
Mr. Pellegrini was born just outside of Florence, Italy on August 4th, 1923. He was the son of Alfred and Angelina (Pistoi) Pellegrini. A Southbury resident for the past 8 years, Mr. Pellegrini previously lived in Needham, Massachusetts and on Cape Cod.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy on Cape Cod where he was named Man of the Year for his service. He enjoyed boating, snow mobiling, skiing, golf and square dancing.
He leaves his two children, Douglas Pellegrini of Needham, Mass., and Christine Allen of Southbury, along with three grandchildren, Travis and Lexi Allen and Daniel Pellegrini.

Memorials: Memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Home of Southbury in memory of John Pellegrini.

Services: All are welcome to attend a memorial service on Friday, March 16th at 2: 30pm at the Lutheran Home of Southbury, 990 Main Street North, Southbury, to celebrate John's life.
