WOODBURY- John N. Nelson, III, 55, of Woodbury, died March 1, 2009 at home. He was the fiancé© of Lynn Frederick.

Mr. Nelson was born October 5, 1953 in Waterbury, son of John N. and Ellen (Jordan) Nelson, Jr. of Woodbury. He was employed as a machinist at Advanced Sonics of Oxford. Mr. Nelson volunteered for the Woodbury Lion's Club; most well known as the beloved devil in the haunted hay ride. He played ball with the Woodbury Men's Softball for several years.

Mr. Nelson loved fishing, the outdoors and enjoyed music, especially playing his guitar. He loved the town of Woodbury and being with his friends.

Besides his parents and fiancé©e all of Woodbury, he leaves a son Jordan Nelson of Colorado, a daughter Lane Nelson of Woodbury, two sisters Elaine Nelson of Bristol Maureen Nelson of Woodbury, several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Services: A celebration of Life will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 2 School St.
