Mr. John A. Moore, 86, of Heritage Village died Monday October 1, 2007 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Lucy (Trivisonno) Moore.
Mr. Moore was born April 7, 1921 in New York, NY. He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard serving for three years in the North Atlantic during WWII. He was an engineer working in the heating and ventilation field for many years and was instrumental in the construction of many current office buildings in the New York City area. He was an active member of the Heritage Village Men's Woodworking Club and was a volunteer for 8 years at the Southbury Training School. He was a devoted and loving husband and father and always had time for others.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by a son Richard Moore of Spokane, WA, a daughter Joan Bush of Oyster Bay, NY and 5 grandchildren, Leah, Reanna and Dylan Bush and Alexander and Taylor Moore.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday October 3, 2007 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church, Main St. South, Southbury. Burial is at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 235 Main St. North, on Tuesday October 2, 2007 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm.
