John S. Kakalik, 64, of Southbury died Saturday, April 26, 2008 at his home with his wife by his side.

Dr. Kakalik was born September 12, 1943 in Lansing, MI the son of Veronica (Neck) Kakalik and the late Mitti Kakalik. He received his Ph.D. in Marketing from Michigan State University. He taught at Michigan State University and the University of Maine, and was the Associate Dean of the School of Business Administration at the University of New Haven. He retired as a professor of Marketing at Western CT State University where he taught for 23 years.

He leaves his wife Marie A. Wright; son John Kakalik and his wife Aileen of Miami, FL; daughter Wendy Winberry and granddaughter Trinity of Scottsdale, AZ; mother Veronica Kakalik, sister Patricia Cole and her husband Lloyd of Ovilla, TX; and several aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews.
