OXFORD- John F. Hueser, 74, of Oxford and Stone Harbor, NJ (formerly of Danbury) died Tuesday, June 5th at Yale-New Haven Hospital surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Judith of 41 years, son Stephen (wife Deborah) of Franklin, TN, son Andrew (wife Cary) of San Francisco, CA, daughter Elizabeth "Betsy" (husband Bryan Parmley) of Manlius, NY, sister Barbara Helmick (husband Jim) of Littleton, CO, and brother in law Charles Bartholomae (wife Louellen) of Weston, CT. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two more due to arrive at the end of the summer, Sydney and Avery Hueser, Brooks and Teddy Hueser, and Katherine Parmley.
Born in 1937 in Chicago, IL, John was the son of Conrad and Helen, both born in Germany. He graduated from St. George High School in Evanston, IL and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. Following college, he served in the US Army Quartermaster Corps Food and Container Institute in Chicago and Natick, MA. John spent 35 years in the food industry working in various product research and development management roles with the majority of his career with Pepperidge Farm in Connecticut. He also held roles at other Campbell Soup Company subsidiaries including Godiva in Belgium and New Jersey and Campbell's in New Jersey. He was involved in the launch of Godiva's operations in the United States and the introduction of many new products for Pepperidge Farm. Following retirement, John and Judy spent much of their time at the beach community of Stone Harbor, NJ and traveling throughout many areas in Europe. He was actively involved in the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor where he was most recently Commodore. He was also involved with Boy Scout Troop 9 of Danbury, while Steve and Andy were scouts, and the Lake Candlewood Power Squadron. He was an avid fisherman, recreational boater, model train enthusiast, World War II history buff, and lover of all things related to his children and grandchildren who knew him as Pop-Pop.

Funeral: Sacred Heart Church
Services: A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury at 10 a.m.
Visitation: Friends may call the Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
