Obituary

John W. Hardman, age 73, of Bethlehem, beloved husband of Sheri Hardman, passed away on May 8, 2023 in Danbury.  John was born in England to Phylis and Geoffrey Hardman.

After earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, John went on to work as a Professional Engineer in England before relocating to the United States in 1986 where he was employed as a Professional Engineer by Testwell Craig Laboratories and later by Special Testing Laboratories, until his death.  Always looking to further his education, he also went on to earn his MBA from UCONN.

Even after he gained his U.S. citizenship, he never lost touch with his British roots and was an avid Premier League Soccer fan and loved to watch re-runs of old British television shows.  He also enjoyed Formula 1 racing, vintage motor cars, and all kinds of music.  John's quick wit and quirky sense of humor will be remembered and missed by many.

In addition to his cherished wife, he is survived by his loving sister Gwyneth Jones and her husband Graham of England, his nephew Gary Dymond and his wife Claire and their son of England, his nephew Russell Dymond and his wife Michelle and their son and daughters of England, his brother-in-law Scott Currie and his wife Mary Ellen Limato of Connecticut, his sister-in-law Sandra Russell and her family of Arizona, his mother-in law and father-in-law, several cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.  He is pre-deceased by his mother and father and several aunts and uncles.

A celebration of his life will be planned for a later date.  Donations in his memory can be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital and Whiskers Pet Rescue in Southbury, Connecticut.
