John R. Guerrera, 87, of Middlebury died Wednesday December 21, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of Nancy (Stella) Guerrera.
Mr. Guerrera was born February 7, 1924 in Oakville a son of the late Gregorio and Philomena (Orsini) Guerrera. He was a US Army veteran having served during WWII. He served in Germany during the battle of the bulge as a medic. John was a member of the VFW post 5154 in Watertown, the Quaker Farms Radio Control Flyers and a board member of the AARP Middlebury chapter. A loving husband, father and grandfather, John was a talented craftsman and mechanic and enjoyed tinkering, building model airplanes and working on cars.
In addition to his wife of 64 years, he is survived by his 3 daughters, Joan Delaney of New York, Jean Hackenson of New Hampshire and Jane Cyr of Middlebury, 8 grandchildren, 3 nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by a brother George Guerrera.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Monday December 26th at 1pm at the Woodbury Funeral Home of Munson - Lovetere, 2 School St. Burial will be private.
Visitation: Friends may call at the funeral home from Noon until the time of service.
